In 2014 Madeleina won arts funding from O2 Think Big to run community art workshops and create an installation in a gallery in Sheffield City Centre to celebrate the Sheffield Xmas Light Switch On .
Madeleina organised and led origami workshops teaching people how to make origami lanterns which were then displayed in the exhibition at 35 Chapel Walk Gallery.
The project aimed to bring the community together through teaching creative skills. Madeleina ran workshops in the Peak District and in Sheffield City Centre.
The exhibition explored the experience of light through different different media, including paper, water and ceramics.
Part of the exhibition included a series of ceramic vases which Madeleina created at a local workshop in the community arts gallery.
The vases were created using a raku glaze.
The exhibition was held at 35 Chapel Walk where Madeleina led another origami workshop to celebrate the Xmas Light Switch On.
Children and families had the opportunity to make origami lanterns to take home with them as Christmas decorations.
The exhibition then moved to Edale village church, in the Peak District.
